Both Laptops are about 5 year old HP; 2.8 mhz duel core cpu; 4 ggb ram; 160 ggb hd; etc. Both run very nicely when not on the internet. These are on a home network along with a 2 year old Intel home built running exactly the same programs. The Intel computer has no problems at all with Fire Fox, the two laptops have serious curser jumps when typing email message. One laptop is running XP pro 32 and the other is running XP home 32. If you plan on installing a trouble shooter, this is the one that's working o.k. The HPs are both shut down. How to proceed?

Hello rlervin

check it in Safe Mode, select "Start in Safe Mode" and see if this happen again, if not see: Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems

(If your problem did not occur in Safe Mode, it is most likely because of an extension, theme or hardware acceleration.)

thank you
