While updating an addon all of my tabs exploded into oblivion. Following some searching there were promising signs that if i renamed sessionstore.bak to .js i'd have my tabs back, failing that using Recuva to bring back a copy of sessionstore.js would be my salvation.

Upon trying either method of restoring the .js file with "seemingly good" versions, when I load firefox i'm still greeted with a blank page. "History > Restore Previous Session" comes up blank, as does typing about:sessionrestore (ie it pops up with nothing to restore). I've even tried replacing the file and making it read only, but still FF doesn't want to know.

Cheers in advance for any help.

You can use the utility at http://firefox-session-restore.herokuapp.co... to restore your tabs. Just paste in the contents of sessionstore.bak.
