My operating system can't handle the newest Safari. I need to update either to Explorer 8/9 or Fire Fox 3 for the AKC website to be fully function. Can this be done with FireFox? I tried to load but it stopped part way. Is it an operating system problem or a space issue? I got the icon. The next step is where it stopped. It says zero KB available. How do I find how much space is available?

Hello,

I suggest you install the latest version of Firefox (v25) to ensure that you get the latest security enhancements and features.

Your version of OSX will work fine on the latest version of Firefox.

See here for instructions on how to install:

How to download and install Firefox on Mac

If you are getting an error saying that there is no space when you follow those instructions then it may be that you have run out of disk space.

Open a Finder window, and at the bottom, you'll see text that goes something like "11 items, 45.89 GB avaliable". That is how much storage space you have left on the hard drive.

If the number is very small then you will need to delete something to free up space.

I hope this helps.
