When I opened it this morning, the search bar was gone and a new search bar showed up on the tab line called Zensearch. I reloaded Firefox last night for this very same problem, and it just came back!

Why is this happening? What can I do to stop it? The navigation bar only has the address section, it doesn't even show the ikon for "home".

Did you put Zensearch on your computer? Is there an add-on or plugin for it? Firefox > Add-ons > add-on or plugin.

Windows > Start > Control Panel > Programs. See if it is listed.

Download the Mozilla Search Reset.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.
