The Bank say it is not a problem with their website but with the Browser. There is no way to access the bottom of the page so you can't pay bill online because you can't access the Pay button.

You may have switched on caret browsing.

You can toggle caret browsing on/off by pressing F7 (Mac: fn + F7).

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Accessibility: [ ] "Always use the cursor keys to navigate within pages"

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

Afraid none of this works so I guess it is a problem with the Bank of Scotland web page? It is only on their site that the problem arises. Any advice? They are washing their hands of it

Than Bank say they have reported this to Mozilla - I hope you can fix it soon. To clarify, the scrolling option nto move around the page is disabled and you can't do any of the fancy things like reloading the page (as suggested above) without logging in again. Over to you guys.......
