tabs still on top after adding Classic Theme Restorer to Firefox 29
Windows 7. Added Classic Theme Restorer to Firefox 29. Set tabsontop to false in about:config and the tabs are still on top. Any suggestions?

thank you
The browser.tabs.onTop pref is no longer supported in the current Firefox release, so if you still have it shown on the about:config page then right-click and Reset this pref to have it removed on the next Firefox start.

It seems that the powers to be have decided that I'm better off with tabs on the top and are going to force me to act in my own best interest as they see it.
Feels more like Apple than Mozilla. On a mobile device this might be a real advantage, but given the number of posts over the many past upgrades, clearly lots of us prefer the tabs right above the content. I have an address bar, bookmark bar and my Norton's toolbar now between the tabs and the content. I'm sure others have other toolbars in there as well. This certainly detracts from the usability for me, and it appears for others.
I do not like this shoved down my throat. I agree with Tom716 above: this feels more like Apple than Mozilla. A lot of us prefer the tabs on the bottom nearest the content. If fire fox is customizable why this crap? The same thing was done with Thunderbird so I'm using an old version. Separating the tabs from the content with toolbars reduces useability.
I just moved from 26.0 to 31.0. The new version looks nice but I'm going to start looking at other browsers from other sources if Mozilla is going to shove this down my throat.
I've used FireFox since the beginning. We may be parting as Mozilla's attenuate towards its users in becoming decidedly unpleasant.

PS: zero solutions? Look for another browser seem to be a solution.
