Since the new Firefox I have a big problem. When I open a bookmark then it instantly opens a about:blank site with it. So for example I have google as my start page and want to open facebook (bookmark) then another page (about:blank) pops up in the tabs. So I have 3 tabs open. 1. Google 2. Facebook 3. about:blank

I want to turn off that the about:blank page also turns on

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
