Adding bookmark to new tab not working
I was trying to figure out how to add items to the 'new tab' page in the latest version of mozilla. THis latest version, on the new tab page (hit the + tab), my shortcuts are gone but three and they are all much larger images than previously.
When I click on the gear tab in the browser, nothing happens. SO I cannot switch to classic, blank, or enhanced.
When I follow the mozilla instructions to click on the bookmarks, show all, and try to drag on into the new tab page, and release, the book mark opens in a new tab instead of creating a new shortcut on the new tab. This is what I'm trying to do: Add my favorites back to the new tab page. I use it all the time. Help!

Hello,
Not sure if this answers your question, but with the latest Firefox update, the number of tiles is now determined on screen size - if you zoom out or expand the window you can have more tiles appear.
If you want to set a fixed number of tiles, I believe you can do so with the following extension:
You can also see jscher2000's Chosen Solution here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1025414 It requires the Stylish add-on but will automatically shrink the tiles on the page:
With more tiles you might be able to add your bookmarks into them. I think you need to drag your bookmark into a tile for it to pin on the tile, or in between tiles.

Thank you my friend. I zoomed out to 90% and it was back to the way I like it.
Much appreciated!
