This question was asked about thunderbird in January with no responses. Did the Firefox fix to stop redirect there, but it's still persistent in Thunderbird. I've researched several times with no job. The popup still keeps popping. It's apparently not Malware but it is disturbing...please suggest a fix. The alternative is to stop using Thunderbird...a solution I'd hate to use.

Thanks. p.s. image is in the archives 1/08/2015.

The issue is really that the behavior is technically correct. It is all about HTTP Get return codes. So the product causing the redirect is really the cause of the issue. However I am sure we can turn it off in the same way it is done in Firefox.

(1) Use the config editor (2) In the search box that appears above the list, type or paste redi and pause while the list is filtered (3) Double-click network.http.prompt-temp-redirect to switch its value from true (the default) to false.

Just for my information here. Are you able to use this device to access things away from the work network without the warning. Looking over the details of this topic, and the related bug for Firefox https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=818850 I have a feeling the issue is the McAfee anti virus
