Keep getting "Server Error in '/' Application. Runtime Error " error messgae on a particular website
most of the time when i click links on cie.org i am shown this error
Server Error in '/' Application. Runtime Error Description: An exception occurred while processing your request. Additionally, another exception occurred while executing the custom error page for the first exception. The request has been terminated.
I can login to the site, and navigate through some menus, but then when trying to access the next page of search results or just certain seemingly random links I cant progress.
I have never had this problem with other sites, and its particularly annoying

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues.
You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.
Flash: Grab the uninstaller from here: Uninstall Flash Player | Windows Uninstall Flash Player | Mac
Then reinstall the latest version.

Remove History For One Site Open the History Manager <Control><Shift> H. In the search bar, enter the name of the site. Right click on one of the listings and select Forget About This Site. This should remove all information, including any passwords / settings.
Again has not solved the problem, the links work when i use another laptop, but not on mine
Are you sure the URL is http://cie.org ?
That error page is a standard Microsoft web server error. The cause usually is that the default page for the site (an ASP or ASP.Net script) wasn't able to handle your request. That could be due to missing information the script expected to receive, such as the referring site or cookies. Other than making sure you aren't blocking anything the site may be expecting, I'm not sure there's anything you can do about this error.
