My computer will not download it manually either
What error do you get?
No error, just a message stating searching for updates, It never stops
I don't mean try using the internal updater, go to the website and download the Firefox installer. How to install Firefox on Windows
I have tried that many times, It gives me a file that it is to be downloaded to but never starts the download.
Click this link, https://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-40.0.2-SSL&os=win&lang=en-US
After you do, click "Save File". After it downloads, close Firefox, find the downloaded File, and run it.
It dosen't download.
Can you try with another browser?
This is the nly browser I have, can't download anything.
You have windows, so you have internet explorer. Use that to download Firefox.
Try this:
- Download the Firefox installer and save the file to the desktop
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ - Start the installation with a double-click on the desktop icon
Here is what I did to fix it. I reset my Firefox to the default download. As soon as I did that it downloaded the new issue and is working fine. My IE9 is hosed up somehow and does not work.
Firefox however is good to go!
