I installed the unity web player plugin ages ago, to play online games, but since earlier today, Firefox becomes unresponsive (or occasionally, Unity crashes) when trying to play those games. I never had this problem before. I have restarted my computer, I have tried opening firefox in safe mode, I have done a virus scan, and I've tried reinstalled both firefox and unity, and my problem still persists. I have no idea what I can do to fix the problem.

Go to the Unity web site and download the current full installer.

  • disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)

None of this seems to have solved my problem, unfortunately. And I'm not really sure what you mean when you say download the full installer. as far as I can tell, there's only one way to download the plugin. If there's something I'm missing (which I'm sure there is) I'd appreciate a link.

Download the full installer. It should install the plugin.

As I said, I don't know what you mean. As far as I'm aware, the only way to intall the plugin is the way I've already done. If there's another way, I'd appreciate a link. Thanks.
