I was trying to update the DishAnywhere sling player web plugin from dishanywhere.com and my Internet connection was very poor with the download stopping and starting.

After the download box disappeared, I tried to start up the player and again the dishanywhere notice came up about the updated plug in for Firefox. I clicked to download it again and almost instantly it came back with the download was corrupted. No matter what I did, it wouldn't download it again, since I guess the file exists somewhere, yet it is corrupted.

Where is the bad download file stored so that I can delete it and try to download the plug in again with a good Internet connection? I cannot find any info on this sort of thing anywhere that is accurate.

Thanks!

I toggled xpinstall.signatures.required and it installed just fine. Dish hasn't signed their add-ons I guess and now my other odd-ons I like and trust should start working again.

Type about:preferences#general<enter> in the address bar. Look under Downloads.

Thanks Fred but that is for general downloads and appears not to be for add-ons that Firefox is going to instantly install. I have previously set that to always ask me where downloads are to be saved.

This add-on downloads somewhere then installs. The install file is corrupt and I have to find it to delete so that Firefox will try and download it again.

I did double check my default donwloads folder to e safe and of course it is not there.

Thanks!

John

Did you download a program, or add-on?

Try uninstalling the program, then get the current full installer.

Hi Fred,

As the OP stated, it was an Add-On. There is no full installer nor is there a program to uninstall.

DishAnywhere always states there is an Add-On update to install. I have removed it from Add-Ons in Firefox.

Thanks again!
