I have an account on a web portal with a standard login screen with fields for username and password. With Firefox, when I enter the URL for that portal, the page displays with the correct user name already displayed in the username field, but it is greyed out and can't get the focus. The login button is also disabled. The password field is available, and I can enter my password, but with the login button disabled, that's as far as I can get. If I go to the same URL using IE, the username field is enabled but blank. When I enter my username and password, the login button becomes active, and when I click on it, I'm taken to my account. I would, of course, prefer to use Firefox, but since I need to reference this site, I'm afraid I'm going to have to use IE.

Anybody have any idea of what's going on and how to fix it?

TIA...
