I have acquired a new LENOVO Laptop and need to transfer my address book form my old laptop which had thunderbird installed to my new one. Thunderbird was installed on my new laptop by the organisation which sold me the laptop but although all my past e-mails where transferred, the address was not. Can someone advise me how to do this please?

If your old computer is still working, then you can backup the address books and calendar data from it to a USB memory stick. Then import them into Thunderbird on your new computer.

Go to my webpage Create a clean new profile in Thunderbird and import your stuff from the old profile. Ignore everything there except steps #3 & 4 on your old computer, and steps #16 & 17 for your new computer. Use a USB memory stick instead of the location in those instructions.
