A way to have less topsites.
In firefox 60.0.1 for desktop it seems that the amount of topsites per row has increased from 6 to 8. While I'm sure many people enjoyed this change I have no need for quite so many pins, and would like to revert this particular change.
However, a quick search though about:config turned up no variables I could fiddle with to do so. Is there a way in the current version to do this, or am I just out of luck?

There is a pref in about:config page to set the number of rows, but no pref for the number of columns.
- browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.topSitesRows
New Tab Tools provides the means to set the number of columns.

Addon only? Guess it'll have to do.
Hi, to reduce the number of tiles in a row; in about:config scroll down to browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.enableWideLayout and double click on it to change 'Value' from True to False.
Alternatively, you can try an extension such as https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/new-tab-tools/

Good - goes from 8 wide down to 6 wide for me when set to false.
