How to relate master password in migrated profile
I migrated my firefox profile from windows to linux. When I first opened firefox, no prompt appears for the master password (when it is first needed). When I go to the preferences page, it shows that I don't have a master password set.
When I try to set a password equal to the one that is used for the in the logins.json passwords, it mentions "Unable to change master password". It doesn't matter the password I enter. I always answers the same "Unable to change master password"
I already tried making a different profile and then copying just the password db and json files. I was able to access my passwords just fine.
How can I get the passwords working with my firefox profile?

You would need logins.json and key4.db in current releases. When you only have key3.db and logins.json then make sure that there is no key.db present.
Firefox uses two locations for the Firefox profile folder, so make sure go to the correct location. Location used for the main profile that keeps your personal data in "AppData\Roaming" (Root Directory on about:profiles).
- C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\
Location used for the disk cache and other temporary files in "AppData\Local" (Local Directory on about:profiles).
- C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\
I already have all of that done. As I mentioned, I have the whole profile and I had it working on a new profile. It is not working on a copied profile. A profile which I copied from windows.
