Emails have downloaded regularly in Thunderbird (I'm on a Mac) but they have not appeared in my inbox for the past two days. The last email I have is dated 10/23/18. I've seen messages download but can't find them. I've checked my "sent" folder, my "trash" folder, my "archive" folder but nothing there is newer than 10/23/18. Can anyone help?

A few things to check: See if Inbox needs the index fixing:

  • Right click on 'Inbox' folder and select 'Properties'
  • click on 'Repair Folder'
  • click on 'OK'

Please check your 'Junk' or if imap the subscribed 'Spam' folder. Do you have any message filters running which could perform an action like move to a specific folder?

Check to see if you another type of filter operating. 'Menu icon' > 'View' > 'Messages' > select 'All' 'Menu icon' > 'Folders' > select 'All'
