Hi all

All I want to do is open firefox and not get this prompt message firefox can't update to the latest version. The version I have installed is from our company SCCM server. If I update firefox stops working. I just want to stop this pester message.

Tried most of the online help :(

I love firefox but this is most annoying.

Cheers

SB

Hi SB, your company shouldn't leave you stuck on Firefox 61 at this point. Can you check in with your IT on WTF is wrong with their update system?

Is this a special link for a different version? I have tried updating before but seems to cause a problem. All i really want is that sodding message to go. Otherwise the browser works without issue.

I assume that there are policies or GPO active to disable the update or the update URL points to a special server.

You can check this on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page although I don't know if policies are exposed in Firefox 61 (Firefox 63 has about:policies).
