When I cuxtomize firefox text and background the home page only shows text - no pictures, no site icons, only lettering.

I chose custom colors for Firefox text and background and clicked always. However, my Firefox homepage now shows only text - no pictures or photos and no icons for most visited sites, just their names. Also, at times some of the content on some of my email links is not shown. Is this something Firefox needs to be aware of and correct or do I need to do something? Please give me guidance. Thanks

As you have discovered, instructing Firefox to Always use your background color prevents Firefox from displaying any images that are displayed as background images.

Probably an add-on would let you take more control of colors without blowing out the images. I haven't tested any recently, but as I recall, there are quite a few choices.
