I've tried to purge Thunderbird of many emails from certain people. I've compacted, I've gone into Gmail and deleted there. I've emptied trash.

But whenever I type a certain persons name in the main search box, I get hundreds of hits and all the emails are there! When I click on them I get an completely empty blank area, no email, no nothing.

How do I get rid of them?

Thanks

Is this happening with Global Search (Ctrl+K). Try rebuilding the database and then see if you still find results for those persons.
