Hello. I cannot cope with the data transfer. The situation is as follows. In the predecessor of the computer, the motherboard broke. I only recovered the data disk. However, I am not able to run programs from my previous computer. It only has data written to disk. So how do I transfer all my data to the new Mozilla Thunderbird on a dead computer? All information on the Internet concerns the transfer of data from a still working computer. Unfortunately, I have a different situation. regards Thomas

Hi You will need to extract the Thunderbird profile folder from the hard drive from the dead computer. That might be done by installing the drive on your working computer as a second (external) drive. You may need local technical help to do that as it depends what kind of drive and what options for cables might connect it to the new computer. Once you have the drive connected, just copy the profile using the instructions for transferring a profile to a new computer.
