text color
Help! When I try to change the text color in an email reply it brings me to the pop up to change the color but when I hit OK nothing changes. I've tried so many times/ways to change text color but it always stays black. I use to use this feature a lot to highlight certain text an it's frustrating because I can't do it anymore.

Are you using a MAC OS? if yes:
- highlight text
- click on the icon to choose text colour
- Text Colour window opens
- click on 'Choose colour' icon
- Colour Picker window opens
- select colour
- Close the Colour Picker window - this is important
- click on OK

Yes, this is what I've always done and worked but this does not work anymore. When I click ok, text stays black.
Please walk through the actual steps. I ask that because one must enter OK twice, not once. After entering OK the second time, are you saying the color is still unchanged as you view in compose window?
I'm on Windows 11 but the problem started back in Win10. Whether I pick a new colour (yes, I click OK twice - have to or the dialog stays open...) or use the last-picked colour, it stays black.

Windows does not use same as a MAC, so the 'Chosen Solution' will not be of any use.
Just to explain difference: MAC does not retain focus on the colour picker window, so it is to too easy to click on the Thunderbird colour option OK first and leave the colour picker open. Hence it wil not work.
In the case of a Windows system, the focus remains with the colour picker and you are forced to click on that OK before able to click on the Thunderbird colour ok.
Your issue may have nothing to do with how the colour picker works, so rather than send loads of irelevant emails to the person who originally asked this question as they may not be able to assist you, please create your own question. State operating system, version of Thunderbird, and whether you have problem with new emails or whether it occurs with replies, also mention whether you use HTML or Plain text. Thanks.
