Hello,

For a few weeks now, I have a lot of crash when using firefox (I'm on windows 10). Not the whole application is crashing, just the current tab that I'm browsing. It said that a random error occured and offer me to reload the tab. It then works but crash again a few moment later (irregular). I tried to update my drivers, to uninstall and reinstall firefox (even did a full wipe of the app and its files before installing again), I tried some old firefox versions but I always have the same issue.

When I check the event viewer I have these kind of error for firefox.exe : Faulting application name: firefox.exe, version: 96.0.3.8061, time stamp: 0x61f17d54 Faulting module name: xul.dll, version: 96.0.3.8061, time stamp: 0x61f17d85 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x0000000001e75563 Faulting process id: 0x1a84 Faulting application start time: 0x01d81552ce22efba Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe Faulting module path: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\xul.dll Report Id: 6154e84a-b617-4067-a5f6-b49760fffb03 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID:

We're sorry to hear that Firefox is crashing. In order to assist you better, please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A list of Submitted/Unsubmitted Crash Reports will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Submitted Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

When a crash report fails to submit, it means the servers decided they don’t need that report.

About:Throttling “You're seeing this page because the crash report you selected was held back from submission. For statistical purposes, we don't need every crash report and sometimes we decline the submission of a crash report as a form of throttling." ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Bug 1662317 About Throttling Steps to reproduce:

My Firefox crashed but did not submit the crash report.

Actual results:

I tried to manually send the report, and the system gave me the message: About Throttling

Expected results:

If Mozilla does not need the report, I, the user, still want to know what happened. How else can I fix or understand what went wrong?

No. Creating a new profile is a quick way to see if the problem is in the old profile. The Firefox program is not changed.

The crashes are all over the place. This could mean the system is having issues with the RAM.

You will need a thumb or disk drive to install it on.

Hello,

Sorry I'm having troubles installing that on a usb. For some reason it won't boot because it doesn't recognize my usb key.

Is there a way to check the ram memory without having to make a bootable out a usb key ?

Yes, sometimes it's like a crash every 5min, some other time I don't have crashes for hours.
