How do I remove suggested URL?

I have a frequently visited URL that I do not want to see listed on the frequently visited list not do I want it on as a suggested URL.

I have tried several ways to delete it, but it still appears.

It is on the six sites that are listed when you first click on the Search/bookmark bar...there are always six url sites listed.

I need this particular site to just be private and not show up.

Before you type any text for Firefox to match, the drop-down shows your shortcuts from the built-in Firefox Home / new tab page.

You can suppress shortcuts from appearing in the address bar drop-down by unchecking Shortcuts on the Settings page. This article has a section on those settings: Address bar autocomplete suggestions in Firefox (the "How can I control what results the address bar shows me?" section).

Alternately, you could remove it from your Shortcuts using "Dismiss" which may ban it from returning (not sure it will ban the whole site or just one URL at a time). The following article has the steps for that: Customize items on your Firefox New Tab page.

Can you get it cleaned up to your satisfaction?
