I'm not seeing my task lists in the Google calendar list when I add a new calendar. I still have the Provider add-on installed but it seems to be bypassed by the internal TB add calendar functionality. That is I don't see an add Google Calendar option any more only Computer and Network. Using Network and my gmail email address I get shown my Google calendars but not my task lists. I would like TB to catch up with tasks but can wait. Or am I missing some thing?

BTW I tried Mailbird and it shows me all my Google calendars and task lists, but its expensive so not an option.

I do not use the provider, but I just enabled it and when I select File > new > calendar it introduced a Google calendar type. But if you are having issues with the addon. The correct place for support is with the author https://github.com/kewisch/gdata-provider/discussions I would expect that there will often be issues with any addon in beta software.
