I try to access my email account through Thunderbird and a message keeps appearing that my password is incorrect. It is the same one that I just used. This happened a week ago and then it just seemed to resolve itself. Help me resolve this.

Help me reset my password so that I can access my emails through Thunderbird. I use Thunderbird to send and receive email and it is now all frozen up and tells me that my password is wrong. What can you do to rectify this situation? The password is the same that I just used to open this account with you. Fred

My Gmail POP and SMTP stopped working today. I updated to Thunderbird 91 and changed the following settings:

1. Select the `Account Settings` menu item from the `Tools` menu.

2. Click on your Gmail account and choose `Server Settings`.

3. Change the `Authentication method` pop-up menu to `OAuth2`.

4. Click on your `Outgoing Server`. Click the `Edit` button and change the `Authentication method` pop-up menu to `OAuth2`.

That solved the problem for me.
