Hi, do you mean iOS on an iPhone/iPad, or Mac OS on a Mac? The wide screenshot makes me think Mac.

If it's Mac:

Could you check what that font is using the Font Inspector -- here's how:

right-click (or Ctrl+click) the funky text and choose Inspect from the context menu.

Firefox should open a developer tools panel with that portion of the page's HTML code highlighted. On the right side, there will be one or two panes. On the right-most pane, if you see Fonts as an option after Layout Computed Changes (etc.), click Fonts. If you don't, click the tiny triangle at the end of that row and choose Fonts from the menu.

Then Firefox should tell you what font the site wants it to use and what it actually is using. For example:

It's actually a bit strange that there is a ¶ symbol below the font name instead of a file name or other font name. ??

Hello, thanks for the reply - I got this far: the font appears to crossed out, but no little triangle

Thanks

Hi Tim, if you don't have the triangle, can you see the Fonts heading? It varies based on the size of the side pane:

Ok so I got Helvetica Neue - what next, should I really have to be doing this stuff?

Helvetica Neue is a system font on Mac, I think, so you could look up how to do a Font Book repair. But is that the font used for the corrupted prices in your eBay screenshot?

/moved thread from Firefox for iOS (for iPhone/iPad) to Firefox section as you appear to be using Firefox on a Mac with macOS as per your replies.

Yes that's correct
