I am unable to reduce size of folder pane. When move across interface line between folder pane and reading pane the mouse pointer changes to a double ended arrow as it should but...a. the folder pane grows by 1 character to the right on every occurance. and b. trying to drag line to the left has no effect. However, dragging it to the right works fine. The end result is that I now have a 10" wide folder pane and a 1" wide reading pane. This is a windows PC running Edge. All updates are up to date.

Toad-Hall, Actually OS is Windows Server 2012 R2 but I have seen it identify as 8.1 on other occasions.
Extracted and ran update program and all is good without having to remove hardware acceleration.

Test in Safe Mode
- Menu icon > Help > Troubleshoot Mode
- click on 'Restart'
- click on 'Continue in Troubleshoot mode'
Thunderbird then restarts in Troubleshoot Mode. now try moving the Folder Pane
Report on results.

I would advise you try and get that driver updated to the most recent version for your Windows OS. I think the last one was in 2015 I looked here: https://www.driverscape.com/download/amd-radeon-hd-7560d
In Thunderbird: It does not look like any addon could be a problem, so I'm thinking it may be hardware acceleration. Menu icon > Settings > General Scroll to bottom and uncheck this checkbox: 'Use hardware acceleration when available'
