Youtube Video Player Not Loading

more options

Hi all,

Recently, I was having issues with Youtube videos not buffering/loading after they have been playing. A quick refresh on the page seemed to help and it hasn't happened since.

However, in going to open a new video, everything on the page loads BUT the actual video player. I've cleared everything I could, disabled the ublock extension I had to stop ads, and also disabled the hardware accelerator that was suggested in an article I found.

Despite all this, the page does not finish loading yet it acts as if it has. I've added a screenshot.

No issues using Chrome.

Thanks for any help and suggestions!

Hello. I have some tips that you may want to try.

As you mentioned, you have disabled uBlock and hardware acceleration. After doing that, did you restart Firefox by closing and opening it again?

You should also clean your cookies and cache. To do this, go to Menu > History > Clear History > Select all options > All time. This will clear all your data saved in Firefox, including passwords, emails, and accounts that you're already logged into. Afterward, restart the browser and try YouTube again.

If that doesn't work, you can go to Menu > Help > Troubleshoot Mode/Troubleshooting information > Refresh Firefox.

If none of these procedures work, you can try reinstalling Firefox.
