Marking messages as read

more options

When I read an email message, it changes the display from bold blue to bold black in the message list. If I then mark the message as read, the dark black changes to light black. Is there a way to do this once a message has been actually read, without having to mark it as read?

Hello there We have read the question We try to help

Look for the to mark function in Thunderbird. This function has the possibility to turn off a click box but also to be able to turn it on, there is also a delay function at this.

With use of Outlook, you can also use it to double-click on an inbox incoming message, twice then it will then also perform a different function as you describe. The message is readed and marked as ,but it was not even readed.

Sorry, but I'm afraid I'm not understanding any of this.

If the first paragraph is telling me that the mark function has a "delay function," I have no idea what that means. I see a function that allows me to mark a message read until a specified date, but that's not what I'm trying to do.

Double-clicking or single-clicking seems to open the message to be read, but neither one marks the message as read.

Hello there

okay your message states that you are looking for a way to have your message read and that your message should be manually clicked afterwards through a checkbox as a read email now in your inbox.

This would indicate that you would prefer that the email message be handled as you suggest.

The read inbox email is automatically marked as read after you read it without any manual input afterwards?

I assumed this was for time cutback?

Hello there

I'm getting closer to the intention you write to us: you don't want to visit a checkbox at all to mark this read inbox mail as read. The most confusion about this is when multiple people throw themselves into a single inbox and visit it and leave it for the other in a certain way. Your intention is to set these inbox mails to your intent so , you ask if this way exists?
