I tried to update all my plug-ins via ff browser. It showed I got adobe 8.X and I chose to update it by click the bottom on that update checking page. It came out to download adobe9.3 and I had done it. but, when I re-check if any plug-in I need, it shows I still need adobe plug-in, though it doesn't say about version of adobe I have. I've re-booted everything; browser, computer etc. and it still shows same response. I open adobe reader and sure it is version 9.3. hopes this would help. cheers,

You probably need this: Adobe Reader and View PDF files using Firefox’s built-in viewer

Do you see only one Adobe Reader plugin on the about:plugins page?
