I'm trying to restore a firefox session from an old back up (I was trying to restore the one I just lost but can't seem to do that) but everytime I put the backed up sessionstore.js in my profile folder and load Firefox, the session isn't restored and the sessionstore.js deletes itself from my profile folder.

Anyone know what's going on or what I'm doing wrong.

I'm following this by the way: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/747344#answer-29058

Cheers.

Such a session restore only works if the file sessionstore.js has a running flag at the end of the file.

You can restore a regular session if you select:

  • Tools > Options > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time"

Is there a way to put a running flag at the end of the file? I've done the part you said in the options, for some reason it had changed, no idea why though.

But no matter which backup I try, it's still happening, even though I'm sure I've used them before to restore a lost session.

Cheers.
