Somehow a Ask.com toolbar was installed on my pc. Altho I removed removed everything with a name ask.com from firefox and my pc, google search page shows ask.com results after entering the search quota. I followed online instrustions how to setup homepage and default search engine using about:config and I reseted everything that had a redirection links to ask.com there.

Downgrade to the current version of Firefox which is 4.0.1

Firefox 5.0 is still in BETA, but do your bit and report the problem via the Feedback menu.
