When I'm in fullscreen, my tab bar doesn't hide.
I had been using Firefox 4 for some time, when all of a sudden my tab bar stopped auto-hiding when I wasn't hovering over it. I tried things such as running in safe mode, going through about:config, checking the tab bar options, and updating Firefox, but to no avail. Is there an option somewhere that toggles whether or not the bar auto-hides?

go to Help Menu -> select "Restart with Add-ons Disabled"
Firefox will close then it will open up with just basic Firefox. You can enable the Add-ons later. Check and tell if its working.
I tried that and it didn't fix anything. That's what confused me.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode by Holding down the SHIFT key while starting Firefox.
I see you have Greasemonkey. Do you possibly have a Greasemonkey script installed that is causing that?
You have old Java Console versions in Add-ons > Extensions that Java did not "clean-up" when updating. You can safely and easily remove them.
- Instructions: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Java#Multiple_Java_Console_extensions
- Your old Java Console extensions:
- Java Console 6.0.24 {CAFEEFAC-0016-0000-0024-ABCDEFFEDCBA}
- Java Console 6.0.25 {CAFEEFAC-0016-0000-0025-ABCDEFFEDCBA}

I tried disabling all of them and it didn't seem to fix it. I can always try again.

Your last response was to which reply above it?
Oh, the Greasemonkey one. It didn't help anything. I may just save my profile and do a clean reinstall of Firefox if it isn't fixed in an update or something.
Having the tabs visible during Full Screen Mode is not the default behavior; something else is causing that.
Have you tried Firefox Safe Mode?
- You may need to try Firefox Safe Mode
- You may need to use Safe Mode to locate the problem:
- See:
- Firefox 4 & 5 users, hold the Shift key while clicking the Firefox 4 desktop icon to enter Safe Mode or, when Firefox 4 or 5 is open you can use the menu item Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled (Firefox immediately shuts down and then restarts)
- Firefox Safe Mode is a diagnostic mode that disables Extensions and some other features of Firefox.
- In Firefox 4 & 5, Safe Mode also disables Plugins and Hardware Acceleration.
- If you are using a theme, switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes before starting Safe Mode (In Firefox 4, Tools > Add-ons > Appearance). See: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Using%20themes%20with%20Firefox#w_managing-themes-and-personas
- When entering Safe Mode, do not check any items on the entry window, just click "Continue in Safe Mode".
- Test to see if the problem you are experiencing is corrected.
- If the problem does not occur in Safe-mode then disable all of your Extensions and Plug-ins and then try to find which is causing it
- by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
- You can also enable a few at a time (3-5) or half of them, if you wish, keeping track of what you just disabled/re-enabled to see if the problem re-occurs; this will help narrow down the possibilities if you have a large number of add-ons.
- You MUST close and restart Firefox after EACH change via File > Restart Firefox (on Mac: Firefox > Quit).
- You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe Mode start window.
- See the following for more information
- You may need to use Safe Mode to locate the problem:
