Each time I try to update to firefox 9 the mouse stops scrolling after browsing for a few minutes. I can close firefox and reopen and the mouse scrolls again for a while. All earlier versions of Firefox did not have this problem. I've deleted and reinstalled Firefox 9 several times with the same results. I don't have this problem with Internet Explorer or Google Chrome.

interesting would say it is a mouse problem but if it works ok in IE obviously not. Have you tried unplugging your mouse via the USB cord and then after awhile reconnecting it or do you use wireless. Doing this will mean your computer will detect a new device and set it up.

When it freezes up next time click ctrl/alt/tab and select task mgr.. see if mozilla is responding.. and what process is using all your memory

Can you use your keyboard? if not turn off you computer and unplug to allow cmos to clr.. This might help. I have used this after power failures where my startup says no keyboard detected and it is the only way to get it started again.

if all all else fails... try googleing your problem and sure you will find a solution there. Best of luck You certainly were patient downloading Mozilla so many times... Did you try a System restore to take mozilla back to the latest version which would clear all updated versions? Then try a re install..
