FF 18 and 19 are very unwilling to load pages when Zonealarm is switched on

Zone Alarm really doesn't like Firefox 18 and 19. When I have it switched on, pages are very reluctant to load, and I usually have to reload them many times before I get perhaps half a page.

With Zone Alarm completely switched off everything works fine. And I mean COMPLETELY switched off. Just switching application control off doesn't work. Everything also works fine when I downgrade to Firefox 17, but some of my add-ons don't work then, so that's not an option either.

Have you gone into the application and added Firefox to your white list or allowed list of applications? For some firewalls you must do this every time you update Firefox.

Yup, I whitelisted it, and when that didn't work I switched application control off altogether - so it's not checking applications anymore. Even that didn't do the trick. I've switched the Windows Firewall on and that gives me no trouble.

Then perhaps switch firewalls. I know we have had a lot of problems on the Firefox support forum with a couple of Firewalls blocking or messing up Firefox.
