Just updated to Version21 The main address bar is across entire width of page and there is no google search bar at the end of it, as is shown on the screen shot on Mozilla.

I do not want to search from the address bar and want the google search box showing on the page. Also the address bar cannot be adjusted shorter and is using all the real estate.

Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible.

  • Firefox menu button > Options
  • View > Toolbars (press F10 to display the menu bar)
  • Right-click empty toolbar area

Use Toolbar Layout (Customize) to open the Customize window and set which toolbar items to display.

  • if missing items are in the toolbar palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
  • if you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar setup

Ok I fixed it myself. I opened up the toolbars/customise and dragged the google box INTO the navigation bar, and it immediately split off to the side. Brilliant.

I don't like search from navigation because often I am looking at a page and want to check something, so if I have to search from the nav bar, will lose the page.

Thanks for all the help anyway
