Constant poping up of "Password Required" box. I can hit cancel it dissappears and comes back in 3 minutes or 2. I never enter the password and it keeps coming back. It happens in sites I am logged into. That I know.

Do you have any add-ons that monitor sites for changes, such as new mail?

To see whether an extension is a likely culprit, could you try running for a while in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings). More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.

You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using

Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Reset)

Any change?

Also check the connection settings.

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

See "Firefox connection settings":
