I followed the directions the directions to export and then import my settings to an Android device (this is my first time using a mobile device). I took pictures of the QR codes. I was next told, "Align the QR code provided from Thunderbird Desktop." What does that mean and how do I do it?

I installed mozilla thunderbird onto my new computer. From my old computer, I put the v5lpggs. default file from my old computer in the import area on my new computer. I can use my 3 gmail accounts again but not my 2 .sbcglobal.net accounts as I keep getting all kinds of error messages, mainly wrong configurations or timing out. How do I fix this?

Hi, I need your help. When I try to archive my IMAP emails through Local Folders in Thunderbird, they turn into blank emails. I tried going to the folder properties and repairing it, but it didn’t work. I also tried moving the emails to another folder to see if it would work, but it still doesn’t.

Way back when IMAP support was added to Thunderbird, I added IMAP using the same account and credentials. I now need to migrate Thunderbird to a new computer. I believe my setup will fail as is currently provisioned. Is this correct? If so, I will need to move a fair number of folders containing saved emails from my old POP account to my IMAP account before migrating.

I use Thunderbird to download and send messages - my hosting is with Primus in Canada. I am vacationing in Pakistan and no messages are downloading. When I try to reply to a message it says 'Sending message' but after about 30 seconds, this appears

Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to Outgoing server (SMTP) mail.magma.ca failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again.

Thunderbird, quite suddenly, stopped getting my email; Both on my account and my wife's account at the same ISP. I spent more than two hours on the phone with the ISPs help line trying to resolve this issue. They also use Thunderbird at their help desk, and the agent I talked to was familiar with your program. She (the agent) was not able to replicate the issue on their system. We then tried to set up a NEW email account. I carefully entered all the info needed for a new account, following instructions from the agent, then hit the 'Test' button. I got the following message onscreen: "THUNDERBIRD FAILED TO FIND SETTINGS FOR YOUR EMAIL ACCOUNT" The answer to the original issue suddenly became very clear - Thunderbird cannot, or refuses to, connect with the email server, therefore NO EMAIL. We tried everything in her toolkit to resolve the problem to no avail. We finally tried UNINSTALLING Thunderbird (and the Maintaince program). Once Uninstalled, I used the Registry Tool on CCleaner to remove any entries in the registry referring to Thunderbird (there were several), then restarted my computer. I then downloaded and installed a totally NEW Thunderbird program. When I ran the Thunderbird again, I found all my account(s) info was still present, and Thunderbird was still unable to find the server. I'm at my wits end trying to resolve this issue, and REALLY HATE to go back to Microsoft OUTLOOK to get my email. Anybody got any ideas??? Any help would be greatly appreciated. (Signed) Proteus
