I'm attempting to use PayPal in Firefox. I login and Firefox redirects to One Moment and spinning wheel, nothing happens; however, on the navigation bar it's completed.

(My system is Vista)

These are the steps I've taken to fix:

- Cleared cache and cookies - Tried all scenarios for cookies - Accepted PayPal cookies - Accepted Third Party cookies - Cleared History - Configured Firefox connects to Internet - No proxy - Checked if running current Firefox application, running 30.0 - Checked virus protection - Malwarebytes, AVG and HitPro - Configured Windows Firewall; added Firefox as exception - Checked Firefox plugins, none to update - Disabled all Add-ons - Checked Internet Properties:

    - Security; Internet: Custom level (medium-high) Internet Zone - not really sure if the problem is here
    - Security; Trusted Sites: Added www.PayPal.com
    - Security; Trusted Sites: Security level for this zone: Medium
    - Security; Restricted Sites: High
    - Privacy: Medium High; Sites: None
    - Privacy; Pop-up Blocker: On

- Windows update: Installed (and re-started) Security Updates for Windows Vista including Malicious Software Removal Tool x64 - Phoned PayPal customer service. They suggested logging in with IE and it worked but after checking, updating, configuring and installing (if necessary) still doesn't load in Firefox

I greatly appreciate any help. Thank you in advance.

Hello,

What addons do use? I would think of a script blocker in the first place.

Hi,

All addons are disabled. Just found out that it's happening with other sites too, like FB.

It could be the work of one of your add-ons, or even add / mal-ware. Look thru your add-ons list and make sure you know what each one is there for. Also, check the programs that are on your computer

Windows: Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs.

Go thru the list. If you find something that you don't know what it is, use a web search.

Firefox get the finger out!

hello, please go to the firefox menu > options > advanced > general and make sure that the option "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page" is unchecked.

(please ignore the prior answer in this thread wrongly advertising payware as the only solution to this issue that you might have received via mail)

I'm not really sure what I did to solve this, but it works now on both IE and Firefox. Maybe it was a Firefox issue, no idea; but it suddenly just worked again.

I appreciate all the suggestions; however, I either tried them all or they didn't work.

Thanks again.

What's going on: there's a difference in behavior between Firefox in Windows and Firefox in Linux. If you check the warning option for redirection (advanced settings), Paypal works in Windows but not in Linux. Uncheck it and Firefox works in both.

This is a bug in Firefox. Paypal won't do anything about it because Paypal works correctly in Windows and they don't give a damn about Linux.

I use Firefox (builds from Mozilla) on Linux have had no problem logging into Paypal whether at site or on eBay. Just logged in Paypal right now fine.

Did you go into the Firefox Advanced settings and turn on the warning about redirection? If you don't turn on that warning (the default is off), everything works fine.
