Hello,

When using my Gmail account, it seems that every time I send a message which has been sent to the Drafts folder, instead of just deleting the message from the Drafts folder it goes to the Trash folder.

I went to Gmail Help first and found a thread that said that it was a problem with Thunderbird. Can you tell me how to get Thunderbird to stop cluttering up the Trash Folder and just delete Drafts when the message is sent? I don't have the problem with my Yahoo account. Thank you.

This is caused by the way Gmail deletes messages (including drafts): Gmail doesn't delete, but moves it to the trash. See bug 562748 for more information.
