Hi everyone,

I've installed jre and jdk:

   jre-1.6.0-r1
   jdk-1.6.0-r2

I'm running aurora firefox on linux, should I haven't install icedtea but I think I don't need it if i have jre, right? In that case, why wouldn't my firefox detect I've installed jre?

Thanks in advance.

I think that your JRE 1.6 (Java 6) version is too old, so best would be to install the latest Java 7 version (7u67). You need the Next-Generation Java™ Plug-In present in Java 6 U10 and later (Linux: libnpjp2.so).

I'm not sure if Firefox is able to use icedtea (Google Chrome) can.
