in the past with a previous desktop, i was able to use my synched bookmarks on other machines after signing in (although that may have only been on the old synching)

in the past year, i had a laptop synched but when i bought a new laptop, the bookmarks didn't migrate nor to my droid although they are all synched via the same email. is their some default setting i need to change to have my bookmarks propagate between devices?

Hi neoluddIT, Thank you for your question. I understand that you are asking if there is something that you need to change to propagate the bookmarks using sync. No, this should be done automatically once connected.

On a side note, you mentioned that the account was opened up a year or so ago. Were you on the old version of sync when you set up the account? This may be what is keeping? Sync your Firefox bookmarks, history, passwords and more -Note before you make any changes, make a back up of the current profile! Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles

Thanks but the recent instances were downloaded with the current synch (maybe i should clarify when the upgrade happened). my understanding from the forums was that the issue was downloading which i had done freshly not a stale online synching account

currently my droid is not listed as a device on my laptop synch altho via same email.

H ineoluddIT, It is possible to force a sync on the Android by logging in at accounts.firefox.com. Did this help?

In the Accounts list of the Android device, it is possible to check if there are any error messages here. Sometimes there is an Auto Sync error message that asks to turn auto sync on in order to sync the device.

i signed in to that URL but no change

there are no error messages that i see near the list of devices on my droid
