In TBIRD 3.31, entering an address malfunctions. Is there a fix, or is TBIRD just being lazy in fixing a huge problem in the update. Besides the grey boxes that we all seem to hate, here is what happens. Let's say I want to send an email to David Richards. I go to the first address line on my message, type 'dav', and four addresses are presented for me to choose from ... David Elliott, David Richards, David Franks, and David Bloom.

I click on 'David Richards' and the name and email address insert on address line 1. I hit TAB or ENTER, to go to line 2, to insert a second address, and immediately 'David Richards' is changed to David Elliott - the first name in the suggestion list.

The only two work arounds are to, after inserting the correct name from the list, 1) right click on the 2nd address line or 2) type out the entire name on line 1, so that it is the first choice in suggestion box before I hit TAB or ENTER.

This, of course, defeats the auto-fill address function completely.

HELP Lazy Thunderbird. How can you not have noticed and fixed this already?

Yes it is a bug, and no one is being lazy.

People volunteer their time to bring you a mail client and as soon as there is anything like a problem, someone is being lazy. Seriously, that is not acceptable. Before commenting on the contributions of others, please advise what your contributions have been.
