When I display bookmarks, Bookmarks Bar shows up over 100 times. I don't know how it's appearing. I deleted them all and they have reappeared.
Somehow, some bookmarks are being created and copied over and over without my choosing to do this. Others are being copied over and over. I keep scrolling down and there are screen after screen of "BookmarksBar." Is there a way to delete all the bookmarks? I have my bookmarks linked to my other PC, so it shows up on both.

That was very good work. Well Done. Please flag your last post as Solved Problem so other will know.
First, turn off the Sync altogether. Now fix the problem. Once you are sure the problem is gone, clear the old Sync, then make a fresh one. That should purge the problem altogether.

hello, could you go to the firefox menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information, copy the contents of that page and paste them here into a reply on the forum? this might give us a clue what is going on...
You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

ok thank you, this doesn't show any obvious reason unfortunately - maybe something has gone wrong with sync. one thing that you could try is to go into the bookmarks library (ctrl+shift+b), then to import & backup > restore and see if you can get back your old state by choosing a restore point from before this mishap occurred.
Use these with great caution ! ! !

Did you check for problems with the places.sqlite database file like I suggested above?
Thank you all for your help. I finally discovered that, with syncing, when I would read e-mail on my cell phone and would go to a Facebook post, it was recording that as a Bookmark. I have no idea why it started doing that, but I won't do that any more. I was able to restore to a place where there were just a few of the BookmarksBar entries and will turn off syncing.
