Firefox will not register an underscore when typing, it puts a space. This means I cannot enter my email address. The problem is not present in other browsers.

When I try to type an underscore, Firefox inserts a space. This means I cannot enter my email address. The problem is not present in other browsers. I like using Firefox over the Windows 10 browser but this is a game changer, help please.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

It is possible that there is an underscore, but that you do not see the underline but see a space instead because of a font issue like a too large font size.

Along the lines cor-el suggested, it also could be your zoom level: at certain zoom levels, a 1-pixel thick line might be averaged/interpolated away. To see, you could hold down the Ctrl key and tap the + key to enlarge the display temporarily, or the - key to shrink it temporarily. You can reset to the standard zoom level by holding down the Ctrl key and tapping 0 (zero). Or you can use the zoom buttons that normally appear on the application menu displayed when you click the "3-bar" menu button on the toolbar.
