after the "43" update, firefox crashed constantly and randomly. nothing to do with flash, video, or any of the other indicators for a crash. sometimes it crashed with a static google search page.

I solved the problem by downgrading to 42.

So what is it?

Win7 HP. Lenovo G770 Intel, 64 bit.

hello, could you provide your latest few submitted crash reports? please enter about:crashes into the location bar, copy the latest few report ids from there starting with bp- & paste them here into a forum reply. this will give us a better understanding what may be triggering those crashes.

Here you go - I think there were many more, where I turned off crash reports.

You can check for issues caused by plugins and set plugins to "Ask to Activate" on the "Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins" page.

  • plugins are not affected by Firefox Safe Mode

Thank you. That is very efficient bug report reading...

But why does 43 react so badly to Trusteer, when 42 is fine with it?

It is not a major problem, I only use Trusteer for a few well-defined logins... but still....
