How can I assign contacts in address book to groups?
I'm trying to sort my Collected Addresses into groups but some are not listing in my preferred group. Also, is there a way to drag-n-drop them from the master list into the group headings?

There are no Groups in Thunderbird address books. There are address books and mailing lists. A mailing list is just that. A way to make a list of several contacts that you frequently send messages to. You use the mailing list to address the message instead of adding all the contacts separately. To add a contact to a mailing list they have to exist in the address book the list is created in. You can create new address book to "group" contacts in if you want.

Okay, there are no "Groups." They're called "Mailing Lists." So how do you add a contact to a "Mailing List"?
You drag and drop them. To be on a mailing list the Contact has to be in the address book the list was created in.
Just a thank you for being there! Mike
