Problems with Firefox 42 & 43
What have you done in the latest versions of Firefox? Since v42 IBM Trusteer Rapport has said it is incompatible with Firefox. This program provides valuable security for my financial transactions. Also I have problems with various websites such as links not working, being unable to tick boxes etc. Other users of the TalkTalk website have complained about links not working when using Firefox. A whole bank of Add-ins have been disabled with the update to v43. If this continues I shall have to change to a different browser after many years of happily working with Firefox.

This will disable add-on signature enforcement; Enter about:config into your Firefox address bar Click the I'll be careful button Find xpinstall.signatures.required in the list Right click the preference Select Toggle until the value is false https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-on-signing-in-firefox

Thanks for that. However my main concern is with incompatibility with othre programs and websites. IBM have failed to produce a version of Trusteer Rapport compatible with Firefox v42 64-bit which appeared some time ago. Now we are suddenly on v43. This has never happened before. IBM areno help, they just say it's incompatible, full stop. What is so radically different about these versions of Firefox that they are causing so many problems?
Have you tried to use normal 32bit Firefox?
I have uninstalled the 64-bit version and installed the 32-bit one. How can I be sure that it won't automatically upgrade to 64-bit again? The properties & "About" information seem to be the same for both!
32 bit and 64 are different programs.
32-bit versions of Firefox have "WOW64" in the user-agent. 64-bit versions of Firefox have "Win64" in the user-agent.
